1. About Motorly

Motorly (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a used car marketplace with buyer research tools operated in Ireland. Our website at motorly.ie provides tools for browsing used car listings, checking prices, calculating VRT, and other automotive market data.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Motorly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

3. Listing Data

Motorly aggregates used car listing data from multiple public sources across the Irish and UK markets. This data is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing information.

Listings may originate from third-party sources (indicated by source attribution on each listing) or be submitted directly by sellers on our platform. We clearly distinguish between aggregated and first-party listings.

Source Attribution: All aggregated listings display their original source (e.g., “via DoneDeal”, “via Carzone”). First-party listings are marked as “Motorly” listings.

4. User-Submitted Listings

If you list a car for sale on Motorly, you represent that: (a) you are the legal owner of the vehicle or authorized to sell it; (b) all information provided is accurate and complete; (c) you consent to your listing appearing on our platform.

We reserve the right to remove any listing at our discretion, including listings that appear fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of these terms.

5. Dealer Applications and Plans

A dealer application requests a private Motorly review; it does not itself approve the business, create a public profile, import stock or start a paid subscription. The applicant must be authorised to provide the business and contact information submitted. Motorly will agree the identity checks, stock source, permitted data and activation scope separately before publishing dealer stock.

Do not submit passwords, private customer records or stock-feed credentials through the application form. Submitting a dealer application does not enrol the contact address in marketing; any future dealer product updates require a separate, mailbox-confirmed choice.

Stock import. A dealer may separately give Motorly permission to import the vehicles and photos published on the dealer’s own website and keep them in sync. The person giving permission must be authorised to do so for the business and confirms it from the business email address provided; nothing is imported before that confirmation. The dealer remains responsible for the accuracy of its adverts and for holding the rights to its photos. Permission can be withdrawn at any time from the link in the confirmation email, after which Motorly stops importing and removes the imported adverts. Imported adverts are listed free of charge.

6. No Financial Advice

Price estimates, market analysis, depreciation curves, and other analytical tools provided by Motorly are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, or professional advice. Always conduct your own research and seek professional advice before making purchasing decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Motorly platform, including its design, features, and analytical tools, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our tools, analysis, or platform content without written permission.

8. Takedown Requests

If your listing or personal data appears on Motorly and you wish to have it removed, you may submit a takedown request via our takedown request form. We aim to process all valid requests within 24 hours.

9. Limitation of Liability

Motorly is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our platform, including but not limited to losses from reliance on listing data, pricing estimates, or market analysis.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

11. Paid Products, Cancellation and Refunds

Motorly is not VAT-registered and charges no VAT; every price shown is the full price. Paid dealer plans are not on sale. The paid products are the Motorly Buyer Briefing (€5) and Buyer Briefing Plus (€10) for buyers, and the Premium (€15, currently free under the launch offer) and Featured (€49 for 14 days, €99 for 30 days) advert upgrades for sellers. Featured and Premium add a labelled badge and, for Featured, a labelled slot above matching results; neither changes Motorly’s organic ranking.

Buyer Briefings. A Buyer Briefing is digital content that we prepare and send to you as soon as you pay. Under consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because the briefing is delivered straight away, we ask you at checkout to agree that we start immediately within the 14-day period and to confirm that you understand you lose the right to cancel once we have started. If we have not yet started preparing your briefing, you can still cancel within 14 days for a full refund. Losing the right to cancel does not affect your rights if the briefing is faulty or not as described: if it does not arrive, cannot be opened or is materially different from what we described, email us and we will put it right or refund you. We only sell a paid briefing when our evidence check for that car passes; otherwise the coverage and checklist are free and no payment is taken.

Premium and Featured upgrades. These are services that start on your advert as soon as you pay, at your request given at checkout. Premium is fully provided once the badge is applied, and the right to cancel ends then. Featured runs over 14 or 30 days: if you cancel within 14 days of buying it we stop the Featured period and refund the price less a proportionate amount for the days already run. If Motorly removes your advert for breaking the listing rules, the upgrade ends with it and we refund the unused Featured days. We refund to your original payment method within 14 days of your cancellation.

Withdraw from contract here. To cancel or withdraw from a purchase, email john@motorly.ie with the email address you used and the purchase. We confirm receipt by email with the date and time and process any refund due within 14 days. Disputes about a payment can also be raised with your card provider.
